On the 24th of January 2000, Prince Philippe
and Princess Mathilde,
now King and Queen of Belgium,
made their premier official visit to Antwerp.
After being acclaimed by thousands of Antwerp citizens,
Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde
were welcomed at City Hall.
The Mayor honoured the Princess with a “Flanders” pendant.
The Princess looks fascinated at the “Flanders” pendant while
the Prince appears to be highly impressed.
Antwerp,
the world capital of diamonds,
honours Princess Mathilde, now Queen of Belgium,
with a ”Flanders” pendant.
This pendant has been created especially for Princess Mathilde.
All the diamonds set in this pendant are “Flanders Cuts”.
